Honestly, I have felt that the Kdramas that have aired so far in 2018 have been kind of lack luster. They really were not my interest and I couldn’t watch a full drama. However, I think this will change very very soon. There are a couple dramas coming up in Spring of 2018 that I believe are going to be amazing and legendary!
Mystery Queen 2
Mystery Queen 2 is going to be airing on KBS2 and will be a total of 16 episodes. This drama will begin airing on February 28, 2018 and will air every Wednesday and Thursday. This drama is a continuation of the hit drama “Mystery Queen” that aired in 2017. This drama is starring Kwon Sang Woo as Ha Wan Seung and Choi Gang Hee as Yoo Seol Ok. These two characters end up teaming up to solve detective cases together. This drama is going to be amazing, and very popular. The first season of this show did amazing and had a huge popularity, because of the fresh idea and the strong characters. Because of the success of the first season I believe that the second season is going to amazing!
Grand Prince
Grand Prince is going to be airing on CSTV starting on March 3, 2018. This drama will air every Saturday and Sunday and the number of episodes has not been determined yet. This drama will be starring Yoon Si Yoon as Lee Whi, Jin Se Yun as Sung Ja Hyun, and Joo Sang Wook as Lee Kang. This drama is going to be a historical drama set around the life of two princes and the royal family. Lee Whi is a handsome and popular prince, but he has no interest in becoming king, his only interest is painting and poetry. His brother, Lee Kang however really desires to become king. The two brother faces conflict when they both fall in love with Sung Ja Hyun. I think the last big historical drama we had was “The Kings Love” so I am very excited to watch another dramatic and amazing historical drama!
Suits
Suits is going to be airing on KBS2 and will begin airing sometime in Spring of 2018. The number of episodes and that dates of airing have not been released yet. The only two people cast for this drama so far are Jang Dong Gun as Choi Kyung Seo and Park Hyung Sik as Go Yeon Woo. This drama is a remake of the 2011 U.S. drama series, “Suits”. Choi Kyung Seo is an amazing lawyer at one of the best law firms, he decides to hire Go Yeon Woo onto his team. Go Yeon Woo is a rookie lawyer, but he has an amazing memory. The reason I think this drama is going to be hugely popular is because it is a new remake of a very popular American drama series. Korean entertainment has remade entourage, another American drama series and they received amazing results from that, so I believe Suits will be the same!
Are You Human Too?
Are You Human Too? will be airing on KBS2 and will be a total of 18 episodes. This drama will begin airing in Spring of 2018, but an official release date and dates of airing have not been released yet. This drama is starring Seo Kang Joon as Nam Shin and Android Nam Shin 3 and Kong Seung Yeon as Kang So Bong. After Nam Shin gets into a horrible accident and falls into a coma his mother decides to create an android of him named Nam Shin 3. The android then lives the life of Nam Shin and becomes the bodyguard of Kang So Bong. I think this drama is going to be a very interesting and different type of love story, which I believe will make the drama very popular. Fantasy and different love stories do really well popularity wise, so I believe once this starts airing it will be amazing!
The Great Seducer
The Great Seducer will be airing on MBC and will begin airing on March 12, 2018. This drama will be airing every Monday and Tuesday and the total number of episodes has not been released yet. This drama is starring Woo Do Hwan as Kwon Shi Hyun and Joy as Eun Tae Hee. Eun Tae Hee is a person that doesn’t believe in true love and thinks that people who fall in love are weak, but this changed once she meets Kwon Shi Hyun. Kwon Shi Hyun decides to bet his life on a game to seduce Eun Tae Hee, which will be a very hard and risky task. This drama is going to be a melodrama, and I think that a melodrama is something everyone needs right now. Comedy and fun romance dramas are great, but sometimes you need a lot of drama and sadness and romance to interest you. I believe that The Great Seducer will be this amazing drama that people will rave about!
Come Here and Hug Me
Come Here and Hug Me will be airing on MBC and will begin airing in May of 2018. This drama will be airing every Wednesday and Thursday, but the number of episodes and exact date of release have not been announced yet. The lead roles of this drama were offered to Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk, but they have not confirmed them for these roles. This drama is about a man and a woman who both suffer from a traumatic murder case that happened in their past. This drama doesn’t have much information about it yet, but honestly I have this gut feeling that this drama is going to be amazing no matter who stars in it. The concept seems very serious and action paced so I believe that this will be very popular.
That Man Oh Soo
That Man Oh Soo is going to be airing on OCN and will be a total of 16 episodes. This drama will begin airing on March 5, 2018 and will be airing every Monday and Tuesday. This drama will be starring Lee Jong Hyun as Oh Soo and Kim So Eun as Seo Yoo Ri. Oh Soo is a man who is very smart and works many jobs. One of the jobs he does is play cupid with a mysterious pollen. He makes a mistake with his pollen and ends up falling in love with Seo Yoo Ri who is a police officer and a very independent woman. I think this drama is going to be a very cute and happy drama. I am excited to see another strong female lead and to see a funny male lead. I think this drama will be popular because of the likable concept and the comedy in the drama!
My Mister
My Mister will be airing on tvN and will begin airing on March 21, 2018. This drama will be airing every Wednesday and Thursday and the number of episodes has not been announced yet. This drama will be starring Lee Sun Kyun as Park Dong Hoon and IU as Lee Ji An. This drama is about the daily struggles each character faces in their daily lives. The two eventually meet each other and help each other with their problems in life. This is the first drama IU will be starring in since “Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, because of her I think this drama is going to be hugely popular. The drama is also about normal people living a normal life, which is something people like after watching a bunch of fantasy dramas, so I think this drama is going to be a huge success!
